The SPLC just shoots from the hip. They don't know jack, and all they do is guess.
We've had more requests from people to join our group since 9/11 than before! There is no one as patriotic as a member of a citizens' militia, but these idiots at SPLC have been writing and reading their own BS for so long, they've come to actually believe it.
The Militia is in strict and unwavering support of the United States Constitution. The fact our current federal government operates daily in violation of that Constitution, and the fact our current president has as much regard for that Constitution as toilet paper notwithstanding, there is no one more patriotic than a person who volunteers to serve in a citizens' militia.
This guy Kevin Johnson was a moron to believe the SPLC and then write an article. As I've written so many times before, the SPLC's Mark Potok and Morris Dees are nothing more than consummate confidence men who have used and abused the Militia Movement to frighten people for the sole purpose of raising contributions for SPLC efforts. They have been enormously successful in raising multiple millions of dollars by making the Militia look like a bogeyman, and it was all based on fat lies.

Southern Poverty Law Center to the untrained seems to be an honest and informative resourse for those who are students or law enforcement officers seeking to learn about militias and their environment. NOT SO! They are a subtle smear campaign against patriotic citizens that reject New World Order. They support a police state and can benefit in the long run from disarming patriots.
As far as the assumed decline in militia membership and activity, I for one will not tell the truth about any decline or increase of membership. Most Militia associates consider size and strength a top secret part of national security. I will say that as far as Colorado goes, things are heating up around here, and for very good reason! We are on high alert for lost children, natural disasters, terrorists, foriegn military invaders, hard core crimminals and un-constitutional judicial servants.
Anti-government groups? Those in a militia who let people get away with calling them anti-government had better do some damage control! Militia units in general are NOT anti-government but in fact, we are very much pro-government to the extent that we will sacrifice our lives for the effort to save our government from tyranny. Most anti-goverment Americans are liberals who trade our rights for handouts and security from eachother!
The militia is alive, well and growing in America! They just aren't telling everything.
